Primula ‘Ooh La La’ is just made to grow in temperate gardens of the world. Coming from parts of China they flower in late winter into spring. Flower heads are large and give a great show in the garden or in garden pots. Plant in a sheltered, semi-shaded area. Keep moist but not over wet as drainage is essential. Mulching is beneficial.
Prepare the garden well digging the soil until loose and friable. Incorporate compost, add some slow release fertiliser. Plant in autumn and winter for spring flowering. In pots the plants will need watering regularly. As the leaves grow quite large in relation to the plant, when in pots you need to lift them a little so the water can enter the soil. An easy plant to grow in many shadier areas of your garden.
